VOICI MES PHOTOS D’OISEAUX

Les photos d’oiseaux sont organisées par famille (et par sous-familles lorsqu’approprié). Le cas échéant, j’ai aussi identifié les sous-espèces. En cliquant sur le nom de la famille, vous serez redirigé vers le portail ornithologique OISEAUX.NET dont j’adopte ici la classification. Je remercie les guides avec qui j’ai travaillé en Afrique pour leur aide à l’identification des oiseaux. De plus, je me base sur plusieurs livres de référence que j’ai cités dans la section Conseils. La légende de chaque photo contient : le nom français, le nom anglais, le binôme scientifique latin (y compris la sous-espèce lorsque pertinent) et le site où la photo a été prise. Entre parenthèse j’ai indiqué le sexe si connu (M=mâle, F=femelle, J=juvénile, Imm=immature) ou le cycle (nupt/breed) dans le cas de la livrée nuptiale. Parfois lorsqu’il existe différentes formes de plumage, je l’ai indiqué (melan. pour la forme mélanique ou bl/wh pour la forme blanche)

NOTES TECHNIQUES

J’ai pris toutes ces photos d’oiseaux avec un de mes appareils de marque Canon Rebel muni soit d’un téléobjectif EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM, EF 500 mm f/4.0 L IS USM ou d’un Zoom EF 70-200 mm f/4.0 L USM. La plupart du temps je monte les objectifs 300 et 500 mm sur une bague de rapprochement X1.4. J’effectue le post-traitement des photos (toujours saisies sous les formats *.CRW ou *.CR2 – les formats de fichier RAW de Canon) à l’aide du logiciel PhotoShop CS5 et du plugin ColorFX pro.

HERE ARE MY BIRD PHOTOS

I have organized all my bird photographs by family in this gallery (and by sub-family when relevant). I have also strived to identify sub-species when possible. When you click on the family name, you will be redirected to the Ornithological portal OISEAUX.NET. I have adopted the classification used on that site in my own ordering. I take this opportunity to thank the guides with whom I worked in Africa for their assistance in identifying the birds. I am also using a number of printed references for this purpose, and I have given the titles and full reference in the “Recommendations” section. In the caption of each photo you will find: the French name, the English name, the scientific name in Latin (including the sub-species when I was able to go that deep), and the site where the picture was taken. The captions contain: the French name, the English name, the scientific name in Latin (including the subspecies when possible) and the site where the photo was taken. In parenthese, I have indicated the sex of the bird when known (M=male, F=female, J=juvenile, Imm=immature) or the cycle (nupt/breed) for breeding plumage. Whenever there are different morphs, I have also indicated it (melan. for black morphs and bl/wh for the white morph).

TECHNICAL NOTES

I have taken all these photographs with one of my Canon Rebel cameras, equipped either with a EF 300 mm f/4.0 L USM, EF 500 mm f/4.0 L USM telephoto lens, or with an EF 70-200 mm f/4.0 L USM zoom lens. Most times, I mount the lenses with an EF X1.4 extender. Shots are always taken in RAW format (Canon’s *.CRW OR *.CR2). I do all my post-processing with Photoshop CS5 and the ColorFX pro plugin.
